Revision

Go to the Roy the Zebra website to revise capital letters, full stops and question marks.
This is where many of you make silly mistakes in timed writing.

I have also signed up our class on a website called tutpup. I will give you our login details tomorrow so that I can monitor your results!

To revise reading comprehension strategies click here and do a few DJ Cow wordsearches to revise both spelling patterns and skimming and scanning.

The next website is from America so some of the spellings will be different from British spellings but nonetheless it is a good resource.

4C,

Each day I will give you some advice on revision for our tests next week.

1) Practise adding and subtracting correctly! e.g 3494 + 578 627 - 458
2) Practise writing in missing numbers:
218396 _________ 218456 _________ 218831
3) a)Write five numbers in order, largest first.
b)Write five numbers in order, smallest first.
You could use these numbers: 573085 629138 57940 500358 429349
or you could use decimal numbers: 4.6 4.63 4.06 4.1 4.69

Morocco

As you all know, I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday to Fez (Morocco) with many of the other teachers during the carnival long weekend.

If we have some time this week we may do some Moroccan art or make a wonderful warm mint drink.

If we do, we will listen to this video which shows some traditional Moroccan music.

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday as much as I did and that you´re ready to work really hard up until Easter!!

The Gruffalo!

As you know, your homework this week is to practise performing the narrative (story) poem "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson. You could also go to the official Gruffalo website too!

This week we are going to practise rhyming words and we will look at the rhyming couplets in this poem.

Remember that you are going to write your own Gruffalo-inspired narrative poems very soon!
